Celebrate the butterflies and darling buds of May from Saturday 25 May to Sunday 2 June. We will be hosting a fun-filled week of events, guaranteed to end Springtime in style.
May half term programme at Wildwood Kent
In appreciation of the beautiful butterfly, visitors will be invited to spread their wings and follow their fluttery friends on a Spring trail through the park.
There are thought to be around 60 species of butterfly in the UK including the likes of the red admiral and the speckled wood. How many native species of butterfly can you spot at Wildwood? Those who complete the trail will get to go home with a special, themed gift bag.
Tickets are available on the day, on entry.
Daily activities for young animal enthusiasts will also be on offer at the park with touch tables - featuring skulls, skins, and antlers - to help visitors learn more about the animal world. On set days, there will be minibeast activities and origami butterfly sessions. These are free activities and dont require booking.
Our popular bushcraft acitivity takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tickets and bookings on arrival in the shop.
The WILDLINGS HOLIDAY CLUB will also be running on Friday 31st May! Children will have the opportunity to learn about our animals, enjoy exploring for mini-beasts, get involved with various craft activities and nature-based games. (5-11 years) Booking required.
For children (5-11 years-olds) with a passion for nature, we're offering a chance to do a JUNIOR ZOOKEEPER experience on . This is aimed at children with a keen interest in becoming a zookeeper or working with animals later in life! Booking required.
For those looking to learn more about some of the park’s magnificent animals, there’ll be a host of daily educational talks on everything from the bison and the bears to the owls and the otters.
The newest residents will be enjoying their first Spring at the park, including Wildwood’s handsome new bison bulls and the adorable joeys in the wallaby enclosure. Meanwhile, firm favourites, Fluff & Scruff, will be out and about in the bear enclosure, with visitors able to get a bird's eye view from the infamous “bear bridge”.

Parents can sit back and enjoy while the kids go wild in the amazing adventure playground featuring the vertical drop slide, zip wire, Pine Marten Towers and twisting tube slide, there is also a special area for under-5’s.
